Purgatory Ironworks
Our Brother in Steel.
As many of you know, we recently lost one of our long time members, Whitefinger. Many thanks to Steelbanger for calling me and letting me know while I was in Perry. I haven't been able to sit down and write out a few words until now.
Geoff was a dear friend and member of this site. Many times I had spoken with him over skype and it was always a delight. He was everything a smith should be; curious, inventive, and true to his fellows. As one of our most avid members, his absence will be glaring. We are one short from now on. Speaking on behalf of the website, I'd like to extend our condolences to his family, especially his sister for making sure that we were informed of his situation. We have been a small family here for a few years now and this is the first time we have had to shoulder a loss such as this. Surely it is a part of life but it makes it no easier to endure. May prayers and blessings lighten our load as we continue our work, one hammer short.
Firing the Forges AgainWhere to start?
Since the last time I sat down and knocked the dust off of the control panel, so much has changed in the shop. Im in a new shop and the business is doing better than ever. Im excited to be back in the saddle with the website and I know you guys are going to be happy to see some new vids rolling out. I may have mentioned before that the new shop has limited internet so there may possibly be some streaming shows by late November if we have a decent up speed. All in all things are better than they have ever been and I'm happy to be back with the boys! |
